Just figured I'd post this for those who may be curious. I installed on an old Win7 machine, it initially throws an API error, but then launches fine. Works great with MK, controller, as well as my old Logitech flight stick)
On Linux I used CrossOver, default WinX 64bit bottle. Failed to start initially, but added Visual Studio 2019 to the bottle and it fired right up. (I however was not able to remap the flight stick on Linux, may be possible but it won't work correctly out of the box)
Multiplayer is DRM'd to GOG Galaxy - FYI.
