Really upset. This update was forced upon me. I finished a mission, Quit, and it started downloaded. All 49GB. Then installed without even asking me. Mods don't work anymore, lancemates are more stupid than before, you tell them to follow you and they keep going after the target. (among other stupid things. they wander). Melee I could do without. Switching mech's is fun though and helpful. How do I go back?? I don't want to start over..I have worked too hard and spent too much time getting to where I was....... !!

You probably are using Galaxy and well, you haven:t disabled Autoupdates, which is on standard for convenience. You can disable them in gloal settings or better disable them in Geme Settings. Just press the Button right of Play -> manage Installation -> Configure. When you untick Autoupdates, you will see newer or older versions which Galaxy supports and you can choose whicht to play, Its not always all versions for every game, but a fair amount.
I was having a fatal error occur at the completion of a mission; that was because the Coyote Mission mod has been updated to work with the new expansion. Once I downloaded and replaced the Coyote mod folder the game worked once more. Check your modlist and see if there have been any updates released in the last few days; they are probably compatibility fixes.

In that case, usually, you should be able to roll back to a previous version of the game in the same menu where you disable autoupdates. At least you could, in Galaxy 1.2, really wouldn't shock me if that was yet another feature that didn't make it into the "new and improved" Galaxy 2.0 though.

See attachment how that used to look like, maybe you'll find something similar.
