Is it possible to use an XBox 360 wired gamepad with this game? I saw a few related posts but they were all pretty old so I don't know if there's any new info. I'm not much of a keyboard/mouse player (just a personal preference) Thanks
Both games work fine with the Xbox 360 Controller. MDK has a few limitations due to its age (e.g. no POV hat/d-pad support) whereas MDK 2 supports everything, even the trigger axis (which many old games don't recognise). The triggers don't work simultaneously due to showing up as a single axis so you'd want to bind them to functions you don't need to press at the same time.

Vibration in MDK 2 works after installing the Force Feedback Driver for XInput (use the Windows 7 version for Windows 8 and later). This also fixes vibration support in many other old games.

Any info on how you accomplished this @Arkose? Under "controls" I see "disable joystick" and "xbox 360 rel..." (can't even read the entire menu item). Choosing either one appear to have no effect.

So I configured the inputs individually, but the end result is very poor. No dead zone, so the character slides randomly. It's hard to adjust momentum mid-jump, etc.

Did you not have these problems?

Try using Xinput Plus for better control setup with the triggers. I'll soon upload a link to help setup full Xbox 360 controller support for the menus, but it'll take a few days or so.

EDIT: Sorry for the long wait, but I finally got MDK 2 to fully work with an Xbox 360 controller (including basic menu navigation, but only with the dpad). There are some unfortunate bugs, such as hitting the B button to cancel out of the Pause menu will have your character select a different item or weapon. It also should be mentioned that you'll need a keyboard to manually save the game. Because of this, I've mapped the quick save button to the LB button, but you can change this in the controller setting menu.

I couldn't get MDK 1 to play nice with Xbox 360 triggers, and using Xinput Plus causes the game to crash.

Here's the link to MDK 2 input settings on PC Gaming Wiki site:

And here's the link to the actually mod to get MDK 2 fully working with an Xbox 360 controller:

EDIT 2: I nearly forgot to mention this, don't use Guide button for this game while using Steam Big Picture mode. Doing so, will have the bug out in strange ways.
