Hi dudes, when i launch the game in directx after the first land all the environment flashes around me, basically it disappears and reappears, and i can see the background sky.
I know there's a sofware exe, but the software renderer is ugly, it doesn't let you play using bilinear filtering and the game graphics just sucks (like the one on the psx version basically) as the textures aren't filtered (you can see blocky pixels all around and the polygons are often distorted, common things in software renderers).
Is there a way to fix that problem? I'd love to play this game as i did years ago, it's a shame that it looks WORSE than it did on my old pc...
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I understand what you're saying, but it looks like there's no other solution at this time other than running the software rendered version.
You can always contact support to let them know you're experiencing this issue with the hardware rendered version.
thanks, i will... i think it's a compatibility issue as MDK uses a very old directx version, and prolly they can't do anything about it, but it's truly unlucky as the game should be offered completely working, and not almost broken like in this case.
I know the software version still makes the game somewhat playable, but it's truly a different thing from how the game is supposed to look
I believe that at least this issue should be clear in the product description, making the customers knows that the product is somewhat broken or at least that it misses the Hi-quality graphics options and it's playable only in the worst way.

Yes i agree, it's a less than ideal situation. Still, for someone like me who missed out on the game entirely i welcome the opportunity to try it even if it doesn't look nearly as good as it should.
Have you had a look at this thread?:

thanks i'll try that glide wrapper!
just tried it :D WOW! works good finally.
I had to download the wrapper and an ehm, *modified* exe ( MDK3DFX.exe ) with no CD rom checks, unluckily using that exe the games no longer let me use my mouse scroll or the middle mouse button, so now i have to zoom using two additional keys.
The coolest thing is that you can force the game to run at quite high resolutions and of course it has bilinear filtering now. It looks so much better :)
Thanks Ralackk!
