MDK (standing for something in the likes of Murder, Death Kill or whatever variation you may find) is a game set in either near or far future, (I believe far). You are Curt, the unlikely hero who got your powers through the janitorial duty for a mad professor inside a spaceship known as "Jolly Roger"
The game has five (I think) levels where your ultimate goal is to seek down and destroy the leader of huge minecrawlers that are tearing the earth apart.
These minecrawlers, huge like towns themselves, are armed to the teeth with monsters, mechanical weapons, worlds smallest nuclear bombs and the occasional "monkey-in-a-box" or "Worlds most interesting bomb". Obscure humour? Oh yeah!
The action is frantic, you'll meet loads of enemies, and you'll probably jump, shoot and sidewalk before blasting a few ten of them away with a grenade, (or said interesting bomb"). Now and then you'll come in situation where your snipergun will be excellent, (and I do believe that this is the first game ever, where a little dot in the distance can potentially be zoomed in and reveal itself to be a rather grim looking dude controlling things)
I didn't get much of the story the first time around. I was a kid, so the shooting was all I wanted! But story isn't the important thing here!
Overall, this is a great game, and if you liked the humour and action on this, try out the extremely worthy MDK 2
