So I loaded up MDK today only to find that the picture is 3/4 on the screen and 1/4 off at the top. Is there any way to change the resolution or at least move the picture down so it's all on screen?
I'm using a nVidia 9800GT, and a 1440x900 monitor.
Thanks!
Edit: This does infact happen with all my games (except Freespace 2) so a generic solution that works for all gog games would be perfect! :D

It sound like you probably need to use the Nvidia Control Panel to set a fixed aspect ratio for non-widescreen games. However, at least in the case of MDK, it does run in a sort of "widescreen" with black bars at the top and bottom of the screen (on a standard res monitor, at least). AFAIK, there is no way to change that.
How would I go about setting said fixed aspect ratio? I know the nVidia control panel but not really my way around it.
May I also enquire as to why the desktop shortcut runs the 'gogwrap' .exe and not the mdk.exe. What's the difference between the two and why is one chosen?

I believe the gogwrap thing is just the extra coding they did to get the game working on XP and Vista.
As for the fixed aspect ratio, just open up the Nvidia Control Panel, go to the "Change flat panel scaling" section (you may need to switch to "Advanced view" to see it) and select "Use NVIDIA scaling with fixed-aspect ratio".

I don't seem to have a 'Change Flat Panel Scaling' section. I'm using this monitor if it helps! Oh and i have enabled advanced mode! Still not there as far as I can see!

Ah, that's a VGA connected monitor, scaling only works on DVI connected monitors. I'm not positive about this, but if your video card supports DVI connections, you might be able to use a VGA/DVI adapter plug to get the necessary functionality. Otherwise, I think you might be SOL on the scaling front with that montior.
An adapter won't work here I think... I had a monitor like this once, it was treated like a VGA CRT monitor despite being a flat panel and being connected through a DVI-VGA adapter... So yeah, you might be SOL. :/
Try reducing your desktop resolution to 1024x768 before launching games, maybe this will help.
You could try running the game through http://www.nynaeve.net/?p=52 hopefully it will rescale everything to fit your monitor resolution and solve your problem.
