MDK was a great great game. But MDK 2 took MDK and completely changed the game to something fantastic and unforgettable. I have purchased/owned mdk 2 three times. Once for Playstation, once for Dreamcast, and once for PC. And I don't mind purchasing it again. The clever writing and story (plus the obvious jabs at comic and video game characters) made the cast a true gift to watch and listen to.
As you progress through the game, you play 3 distinct characters. Kurt is a stealthy sniper, with gadgets galore. Dr Hawkins, a weak fighter, but can combine objects and make amazing inventions to battle his foes. And Max. Oh max. He is a 6 limbed dog that can tote 4 chain guns at once, blasting through enemies with ease.
This fast paced gameplay breaks into little minigames as you progress. Skydiving, space exploration, rockets, goldfish, you name it, you play it.
With these play styles mixed with a great story, a difficult game, epic boss battles, and tons of secret areas, the fun never really ends.
