So yeah. There's an HD Remake of sorts of MDK2 on a lesser known digital distribution platform called Beamdog. It's been out for about a year or so. It apparently has enhanced audio, textures, and more balanced gameplay. Selling at $14.99.

I took a look at some of the screenshots and I have to say, it looks very nice and modern, though I'm sure some of you may not like it. I've played only the original MDK2 and not the HD version though. Anyone tried it yet?

I just found out there was a HD remake on this one. I bought MDK and MDK 2 here on gog a few months ago but I haven't got the time to play them yet. Now I wonder if I should get the HD version or wait to see if gog might be able to get it (or if they release a mod that' functional with all non-remakes). Weird though that they released the HD version of the sequel before the prequel.

They said they can't do MDK 1 as they lost the original source, and it would be to expensive to recreate the game engine and add new graphics, essentially making a new game.

Ohh... HD looks very good! It will be great to get it from GOG, with great discount :)

I think it's a Beamdog exclusive, so we probably wont see it here on GOG.
