Hello--

I know that MDK2 has full native widescreen support--IE, it renders an full FOV instead of chopping off the top and bottom of the image.

Is MDK1 the same?

Thanks.

(bump. certainly this is an easy question to answer. you just have to load up the game and look at it. widescreen or not?)
MIGHT I TAKE THIS TO MEAN THAT NO ONE HAS EVER PLAYED MDK1 ON A MODERN MONITOR????

Yes, I will take it as such. Therefore, I intend to be the first and only person to ever play MDK1 on a modern monitor. I will report back in this thread after I play MDK1 and I will report on what I experience. I expect to receive a trophy with my purchase of MDK1 on the basis that I will be the first person to play it on a modern monitor.

Sort of kidding. I'm not going to buy MDK1 yet; I'm knee-deep in Planescape.
It doesn't, however I'm desperately trying to find a way to fix that. Still a worthy purchase.

Thanks a lot for the answer!
I'm fairly certain there's no way to do this. To my knowledge all monitors were 4:3 aspect ratio back in the Pentium 1 days (possibly 5:4 as well) so I'm not aware of any way to work around this.
Even the Glide Wrapper didn´t change anything to this; at least we do not get a scretched image and a more horizontal image really suits better to MDK anyways ;)
