Obviously no-one gives a hoot. So once again I've self cancelled.

But I am still in the market for MoO3 cheat codes!

There ARE cheats mentioned in the "spreadsheets.mob" file! This does NOT give you the actual cheat codes though! It only states what effects the cheats have, eg add 100,000,000AU or "give +100 manufacturing ability".
If anyone knows these codes, let us know. Other MoO3 players will like them too!

Editing "spreadsheet.mob" could also be a way to cheat, but I only have "NotePad" and "WordPad", and even changing just one character with those corrupts the file so MoO3 crashes.
If anyone knows how to edit this file and what tools are required, I think MS Excel might be better, but that's just another expensive piece of MS junk. Any suggestions for alternatives are welcome.

Thanks!

Just play FreeOrion instead. It has space lanes just like MoO 3.

JMayer70: The review I've put up in the review pages is admitedly a stupid one. It will probably vanish like the others did anyway.
So I'll put a second more proper review of MoO3 here. Good thing is, unlike with GOG's excrement review system, I'll be able to edit it here, and correct typoes! And people can comment instead of just faceless repping. Have I said GOG's review system stinks? I think I've said much of this already in this forum, but here we go......

Like thousands of others I spent 2002 and 2003 eagerly anticipating the release of MoO3! When released I rushed out and bought it for £30 if I remember right. WHAT A PILE OF STINKING EXCEREMENT IT WAS. I just could NOT believe how Infrotards had screwed EVERY single aspect of it. The game killer was that the AI factions simply did nothing. You never got a "game" out of it. Now, the version peddelled by GOG is v1.2.5, when I first tried this a month or two ago I was pleased to see more aggressive, active and beligerent opponents. However this soon tarnished when I realised that Infotards had gone from one extreme to another! ALL AI factions HATE the player. They all simply gang up against and declare permanent war against you. Whereas they all ally with each other. This completely ignores the so called "diplomatic biases" between certain species. They also cheat. If they did this on "hard" and "impossible" levels then that would be acceptable - because that is what makes those levels "hard" and "impossible"! But this cheating goes on even on "EASY". They should be "nobbled" on "easy" difficulty, not boosted to god like attributes through cheaty stats!
I've tried three times which three different factions and have been absolutely trounced each time by ridiculously expansive and powerful AI opponents. All of them ganging up on the player. Even if you start as an Orion senate member, this hatred still manifests, and you'll not stay a member of the senate, the others will all vote to kick you out, by turn 50.
I think you missed some steps while installing the game. I've never had any of the problems you have had in any of my games since the first patch in 2003.
I can only advise you to start from scratch with a fresh installation by following the advice that others have written on the forum.

With GOG's MoO3 you just install it. There are no steps to miss. And what instructions/advice from others on the forum? I can see none. Can you link me to them?
Maybe you are speaking about some older MoO3 version. Obviously you don't have the current GOG version as of now, as surely you'd realise how "just not it" your post is! Older (pre v1.2.5) versions did not have the problem of aggressive, cheating AI making the game too difficult, in fact it was the opposite, the AI did nothing on those older versions. It's gone from one extreme to another.

Re-read the OP, what I really want to know is if you know of some cheats for MoO3. If you don't, please refrain from posting otherwise unhelpful comments.

Thanks!

I replied to the first part that you deleted in your initial post. I wanted to clarify the fact that AI is never aggressive at the start of the game without a very specific dipomatic reason. It can get very hostile in the later stages of the game when the human player has usually become the strongest. That said, I don't know any cheats so I leave the discussion but maybe you should open another thread that is not called "Second review of MoO3" ...
