Greetings Fellow MOO fans,
I haven't bought MOO 1+2 from GOG.com (yet) so I am not sure if it comes with its own icon, I imagine it does, but I thought I'd share this icon I made a while back with you.
I have had MOO1 on my hard drive for some time now running under DosBox, and I wanted my own icon for MOO.
I made this from a stock photo of a nebula or galaxy (I forget where I "borrowed" it from) and the Master of Orion logo.
Anyway, it's not perfect, but I'm pleased overall the way it came out. You're all welcome to download it and use it.
BoP
Instructions:
Just do a "Save As" on the attached image and rename it Orion.ico (I just tested it and it works for me.)
[edit: I just re-uploaded a newly saved jpg/icon that should be 128x128 by default.]

thanks for the icon
Not to outdo you, but...
It's not very viewable at 16x16, but when you save as orion.ico, it displays at up to 32x32 a lot better.

You know, it's weird, Windows reports it as 16x16 but in fact It should have sizes up to 256x256 (or 512x512, I forget). As I was testing it, and saving it from jpg to ico it displays fine on my desktop, but windows still reports it as only 16x16.
I used Paint.net with the icon plugin to make it. I wonder if I should try resaving it, either with Paint.net or another program.
Been using it this whole time though and never noticed an issue :D
