Hey guys I like to get all my colonies to max population. In PARAMETERS.CFG they have a command line,
# Amount of population units simultaneously freighted. Default is 25 (classic).
max_pop_freighted = 25; 1000 is max. This doesn't seem to work. has anyone had any luck with it? what did you do to make it work, if so?

You need to edit it to make it work non-default way. If you dont know how or where to edit it its good to start from reading Manual of patch, as it would provide info on other stuff you likely will encounter later.

I've Been editing my 150i.cfg file. I've added many lines to it. this particular, line seems to have no effect. I've tried changing pop to stuff like population but that gives warning and causes to boot to crash.
if I change to the word to settlers the boot crashes with out warning. I've had the number over 1000 that's how I know 1000 is max. I've tried multiple numbers under 1000, with no success. I'm at my wits end.

Think wider: lower the value. This way you will get not a boring boot crashes (not fun, and too easy to achieve with many other ways), but nice in-game ones instead. This particular line definitely do have the effect, just not on any particular value set.

And sorry, but i had to ask first if you did read stuff prior editing, as its a pretty common mistake, and you didnt even bothered to put the question into patch's own thread, where it belongs, thus there been more than average chance about it to be true.

Yeah, sadly this parameter is broken and has no effect, no matter the value set.

Changing the name (label) of the parameter itself will not fix a broken parameter, so changing "pop" part of the name to something else will be of no avail.
