Maybe it isn't related to LInux, but maybe it is.

Here is what is happening. I setup Dosbox to not execute orion2.exe in full screen. Just leave i t windows. The game loads up fine. Then, once I click into the dosbox window with the game it locks into that window. I can't alt+tab out of it. I can change virtual consoles to a cli but when I'm in xwindows I can't alt+tab out

The only way to get to the rest of my windows is to exit MOO2 and exit out of dosbox.

Any thoughts? Is there a configuration I'm missing?

Do some of these commands work?

DosBox has a list of special keys here which include going in and out of fullscreen mode (ALT-ENTER) and capture/release mouse (CTRL-F10). Releasing the mouse *should* allow you to at least click on other windows ... I don't know about alt-tabbing though in Linux since I don't have a Linux distro.

It appears if I Alt+Enter into full screen, then back out of full screen I get my mouse back. So that works. But I have to do that each time to get it to give me back mouse control.

Thanks,

Are you using a desktop environment or window manager which has alt+tab enabled? This isn't a typical linux command, so it might be that this doesn't exist.

Dosbox uses it's own set of shortcuts for window control, you can read up on them in the man-page. (Ctrl+F10 should work for releasing mouse)
