If you get mouse click lag when clicking on Stars or moving the starmap around you may need to tweak the cycles attribute in the dosboxMMO1 file. I had 3000, changed to 8000 and the game runs much smoother now. You may need to try different speeds to achieve your optimal rate.

Thought this could be useful to others.

GOG usually sets the CPU cycles too low in their DosBox CNFG files, especially in the games from the late DOS era.
