I have just downloaded Moo 2 and it will not let me build ships and some of the research items are missing. Does anyone know how to fix this?

You need a star base for building bigger ships, the two smallest designs you should be able to build.

If you don`t have the "creative" trait, you will only get one tech per research field (the one you click on), so you should choose wisely.

Thanks, the Tactical Combat button was the answer. I lit that up and not only was I able to build and refurbish ships, but all of missing research items were back on the list. I consider this problem solved and I think I am ready to start playing in earnest. Happy days are here again.

:-) Give MoO1 a chance too sometimes. It has no multi-player though.

I am along time player of both of the games. I started playing these games when the came out in the '90s and have played them ever since. My problem was that my tower had crashed and had to replace it. In copying it, I forgot about the Tactical button. I do occasionally play the first version.to clear my head.

I would be grateful if anyone who liked this game had another favorite that is similar to this one and could recommend it.
