I spent many hours in the mid 1990s playing MOO, and I still have the MOO2 disc I got for my sixteenth birthday. The original Master of Orion is a part of the strategy gaming canon, along with Civilization and Command and Conquer. It's a brilliantly and deceptively simple game- just tweak some sliders, right? And five hours later you're hunkered in the computer chair plotting vengeance against those dastardly Alkari and your wife is wondering aloud if you'll ever take out the trash. Amazing games. Buy them.
