When I heard back then that MoO got sold to "this World of Tanks company" I groaned, I face palmed & I just buried any hope. While MoO3 put the franchise in a coffin and buried it this would be digging it out for some perverse spectacle and turning it into some monstrous Frankengame thing, turned into some kind of F2P World of Spaceships MMO.

Glad I was utterly wrong :)

Since I played MoO the whole day my mind is a bit too toasted and I'm too tired for a lengthily report but besides some initial troubles (error was found sitting in front of the screen :P) the whole thing IS a Master of Orion title. Not just a shallow name but the real deal. Just this time with what feels like a working diplomacy system. And on top of that I played the whole day with out any crash, or any bug I'm aware off at all (besides the graphic error in the Terran advisors neck)

Sure, there is room for improvement. Save system for example (let clicking "save" open a list of the saves like the one you have on "load". This remembering what I called save X I want to overwrite works but is annoying). If I think long enough I can probably think of more points; but thats just small stuff of which some probably get changed/improved over time.
It`s pretty good so far, though as you say, more improvements are required.
Haven't played much, but I feel as if the ship classes may be lacking compared to MoO3 am I worrying for nothing?

They are pretty much the same as in MoO2; AFAIK MoO3 had a dreadnought class which was... inbetween BS & Titan? Or Titan and DS? Its to long ago :/

edit:
Apparently only one ship of the Doom Star class possible to build. Now I know how Palpatine must have felt when he got the answer to his order to mass produce Death Stars :P

Aww I wanted a fleet of Daath *cough* I mean Doom stars!
For the most part I agree. I'm not wowed, but it is worth $29.99.

Frigate -> Destroyer -> Cruiser -> Battleship -> Titan -> Doom Star. Each class costing one more command point than the one before.

Yeah, that MoO2 & MoO4 (with 4 being the difference that only one DS; but a fleet of Titans is already time consuming enough ;) ). But MoO3 had one or two more classes inbetween the traditional ranks.
Just working on the Tech for my Doom star. I have a couple of Titans already, but damn they eat up my cash!

Ironically, in this new game, I must be doing better since nobody will attack me! I prefer others to attack me so I look like the guy in the right when I kick arses, lol.

Thank you for playing Master of Orion: CTS! Glad to see you're enjoying the game.
