Greetings Explorers!
Here is the current known issue list for Master of Orion:
Crashes/Softlocks
- Crashing after NGD Logo with certain wireless headsets
- [LINUX] Applying high graphic settings causes the game client to close
- Game crashes when editing a ship blueprint in the new Ship Design menu
- Pressing ESC after quickly toggling the filters in the Known Planet menu can cause the game client to close
- Game client softlocks when moving the same Scout ship twice during the Tutorial
Gameplay/General
- "Audience" option does not appear in the Diplomacy menu for AI opponents after loading a save file from a Multiplayer game
- Doomstar planet destruction cutscene does not have audio
- AI is able to determine a player's Colony Orbital Defense rating without visiting the planet
- Done button becomes unresponsive after inspecting any structure in the Manage Structures view
- Spies take an extra turn to complete their training.
- Ships that pass over an asteroid while approaching its destination will halt it's movement
- Players can skip the action phase, “A Fleet Needs Order” by quickly pressing the turn submission hotkey twice
- Race introduction cutscene doesn’t play and race information doesn’t appear in the Diplomacy menu when discovering another race in a Single Player game
- [LINUX] Game client fails to load when starting a game using Linux Mint 17.3
- Terraforming a Huge planet into a Gaia class planet as the Silicoid does not allow you to maximize the population
- AI opponents are still able to initiate an attack to your fleet/colony after agreeing to a Truce within the same turn phase
- AI opponents will not make any attempt to destroy a Space Monster within their colonized planet systems even if they can easily defeat it
- Silicoid unique food trait still applies when the Racial Trait setting is disabled
- Players can prevent AI opponents from expanding by blocking off Wormhole access
- Ordering a ship to perform the “Sleep” action before immediately switching it to “Guard” on the same point another ship is guarding does not merge the Fleets together
- Guarding a Warp Point containing an unfinished military outpost of an AI enemy race provokes a war declaration. War status will not be applied after clicking Yes
- Players have no other option to break a Non-Aggression pact unless the AI chooses to have an audience with the player
- Scout continues to Auto-Explore after given the command to Guard.
- Voiceover audio is missing during the Excellence Victory using the Russian language setting
- Different weapon types are using the same default attack range in battle.
- Inconsistent ship space can be observed while adding weapons with the point defense modifier to a ship
Graphics/FPS/UI/Text
- Unity UI turns off after the user locks the PC
- [OSX] [LINUX] Korean and Japanese characters are not displaying properly when selected as the language setting
- [LINUX] Game client resolution does not appropriately scale when the display resolution is lowered on a 4K display
- Empire UI fails to appear if the user doesn't skip the cutscene after colonizing the first planet in a new game
- Fleet location icons in the Galaxy view are not affected by the blur filter
- [LINUX] Minimizing and maximizing the game client causes graphical artifacts to appear on colony names
- [LINUX] Resolution setting does not get applied when changed in windowed mode
- Players are unable to view structures on the bottom of the list of the Manage Structure menu if there are too many structures built
- Known Planet menu appears in the incorrect location when it is viewed the first time
- Code text string appears for the Security Bonus Perk when viewing the Security tooltip in the Colony Management screen
- Planet system names do not update with the color of the race upon colonization of any planet in Galaxy view
- Navigational tool buttons do not appear after completing the Tutorial
- [LINUX] Population unit icons remain highlighted when viewed through the Colony Management screen
- Noticeable rough screen transitions occur between various game events such as exiting an audience with another race
- Total Shield Points does not display the correct value when upgrading past Titanium Armor
- If a player leaves a multiplayer game to start a new single player game, the multiplayer chat window can faintly be seen when the game loads
- Pressing the right mouse button multiple times on an enemy fleet in Tactical Battle causes FPS to severely drop
- Population unit icon visually disappears if a player grabs the unit and switches to another Colony Management screen then back using the left & right arrow keys
- [4K display issues] Options menu appears off-center when switching the screen resolution to 3840x2160
- [LINUX] [4K display issues] Advisor portraits fail to display in the Advisor pop-up windows
- Both technology choices for “Genetic Engineering” in the Tech Tree remain highlighted after selecting one of them
- Spy information window pop-up does not contain any information when triggered by a specific event
- [4K display issues] Resolution value does not display the correct information when changing to a different resolution in the Options menu
Multiplayer
- If the host leaves a multiplayer game first, the multiplayer game window pop-up shows overlapping text
- Clicking the Done button in the victory window during a multiplayer game does not bring players back to the main menu
- Multiplayer game softlocks when the host and another player leave before the last player submits their turn
- Some players will be kicked out of the Multiplayer lobby if the host selects Huge as the galaxy size setting and then change the galaxy type from Spiral to Circle.
- If multiple players attempt to attack the Orion Guardian within the same turn, only one player will be successful while the others experience a false battle simulation without any notification that it has already been defeated by another player
- Multiplayer game gets stuck during the turn phase after reaching 154+ turns. Softlock occurs if the game is continued using the same save file
- Out of Sync error occurs in Multiplayer if a player other than the host clicks on the action phase, “A Fleet Needs Orders” 3 turns in a row
- A player can still complete a negotiation deal with another player if they are eliminated within the same turn in a Multiplayer game
- Loading a multiplayer save game file from a guest player as the host prevents the guest from joining and causes a game crash
- Game softlocks during an Alkari Audience screen in a Multiplayer game session
- Loading a multiplayer save game file allows you to change the Game and Advanced settings
- Multiplayer game gets stuck in the turn phase after attacking an AI opponent’s colony
