So i'm stuck at a point in the game (my very first game, on very easy level) at which the Antareans just keep winning a battle on my homeworld. I go back a few turns, build more ships, etc., and the battle odds meter is about 2/3 of the way to the right ("favourable"), but every time I fight the battle I lose.

I'm using auto resolve, because quite frankly I hate the combat part of the game and don't want to spend 20 hours figuring out the best strategy, but am I basically doomed unless I take control?

Thanks!

Hello
Antaran's are tough to fight at least at early game or middle at sometimes and they attack the faction with the biggest score so I think you are doing well so far to provoke them..To answer your question is a bit difficult cause that have to do with various elements of the game ..the level of your current technology ,the build of your ships etc .. but don't worry much of them they just drop a "bomb" at a colony and run away ..My strategy is if I don't have any chance to win to leave them attack and disappear back to their dimension..
