I wanted to back some up to finish a game later, but I can't find where they're located.

They should be in the game's folder, named save#.gam
If you are using Vista/7 and have installed in a UAC enabled location (aka Program Files) then you can find them in the VirtualStore folder, located in "C:\Users\JMich\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Master of Magic", substituting JMich with your Username.
