Is there anyway to take off certain Heroe's from the list of Heroes able to be summoned by ME (don't want this to effect computer if possible) using the "Summon Hero" or "Summon Champion" spells?

Heck is there a way I can delete them from offering their services to me at all so it increases chances of me getting the ones left?

You all know those crappy ones that are stupidly useless in pretty much every situation like, Theria the Thief and Rakir Beastmaster, there are others I find quite useless and will not waste a spot in my roster on.

Also is there a way to perhaps fix their Random skills so that they don't end up screwing you up bad?

MALLEOUS is the best Hero that I believe you can get in my experience with the least possible mess up as he only has 1 random pick and has the needed Caster & Arcane Power combo. FLAME STRIKE FTW!!!

WARRAX the Chaos Warrior is probably the best Caster in the game. That Armor Piercing attacks is just nuts and in the long run better than AERIE as quite a few things are immune to illusion, like all undead guys sadly.

"Legal" in-game cheat: cast Summon Hero (or Champion); save your game on the round before the spell finishes; if you don't like who you get, reload and try again.

Note: this workaround was specifically disabled as one of the updates for the Insecticide unofficial patch; so if you want to use it, don't install (or uninstall) it.

More elaborate cheat: track down a hex editor, and change the hero's attributes: either give them whatever abilities you like, or make their fame requirement ungodly high (so you never see them anymore). You're on your own, however, with which program to use and how they work; just do a search on "Master of Magic hero editor" and follow the links till something workable turns up.

Sadly I already use the "Legal" way of reloading. I do not really consider it cheating as I only play on Impossible now and the computer cheats so much with things like no upkeep on summons AND normal creatures, Immunity to raiders so that they can send out settlers with no guards early on and ofc more picks. Not to mention they never seem to have problems getting Heroes. I run into the comp quite early and he already has between 3-6 Heroes with NO Fame or under 5 at max when I have not even attracted the attention of 1 and have had the gold for it all the time.

Have not really ever looked into the game MOD/patch "Insecticide", wonder why they called it that, so will have todo some research.

Not going to bother with the Hex Editor either, I had just hoped there was a way like there is with fixing the in game artifacts.
It's called Insecticide because it takes care of bugs. Get it? ;)

Yeah, the computer cheats on Impossible (and Hard, and even Normal). If you do install the unofficial patch, it gets worse: the developers themselves tell you to go down a level (Easy = Normal, Normal = Hard, and Impossible truly is.)

One of my own must-have heroes is Jaer: wind walking FTW. Another is Torin: no ranged attack, but let him get within melee distance and he's pretty much unstoppable.

If you don't want to get involved with hex editing, I can't say I blame you. But then I'm at a loss for any further advice, since everything else comes down to playing style.
