Is it actually improved at all? So far my play hasn't suggested that its any more dealing with the other wizards than it was in the old game, and that was the biggest weakness other than unit imbalance in the original.
Diplomacy is a total waste. I have not had one Wizard agree to a treaty. Most of the time, meet one turn, the next they declare war on you.
I haven't had the latter happen (but that could be an artifact of the difficulty I'm playing at) but I concur on the former. You'd think if they were going to do a remake they'd address one of the most notable weaknesses of the original...
Yeah. Only a few I got a treaty with a AI was on easy mode. But soon as I switched to medium difficulty, it never happen again. The only thing I get is the occasional request for mana. Also, I never got the AI to a accept peace term, Even when I had reduced them to a single city, they refuse any peace treaty. So, the diplomacy seems be utterly broken.
Guess I'll wait until I hear if this is improved before I actually buy it, then.
