Hey all recently I have noticed that when my population goes up that any excess/extra get chopped off. i KNOW that this has only started recently within the last few days. I originally installed this game back in December of 2011 and I know that all this time this has been working correctly without any bugs.

For examplpe...

Town has 4,980 and goes up is going to increase by say 70. The next turn it SHOULD have 5,050 but is now getting chopped off at 5k even.

Recently installed the Insecticide Mod and this bug started. Uninstalled and Deleted the game and all files associated with it. Redownloaded it from gog but this bug persists.

Anyone know what I could have missed that's causing this? Or is this inherent with gogs latest version? Did insecticide put files anywhere else that I might need to delete?

I have never noticed that (probably because I've never paid close enough attention to notice it), but I would check the Insecticide forum over at Realms Beyond:

http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?fid=52

Assuming you haven't looked there already.

FWIW, there's a 44-page bug report thread!

As I recall, this was present in MoM always, and not introduced by Insecticide. Can try to verify it if you want, though I'll have to see if I can also find a non-GOG version to double check.

Perhaps I am mistaken then. I could have sworn this cutoff never happened before and I have always used the gog version. Problem is no way to prove it now, although why I would ever use the housing feature for a turn and not notice it is strange to me. I regularly did this in towns till they hit 2 or 3 pop and closely watched and never noticed a problem before.

I do notice though that the install package from gog has changed since I first downloaded it. It's also like 4mb larger for some reason as well.

Damn really sucks when you start to doubt your own memories sigh.
