Having a devil of a time. I'm on a Mac, running MoM through a VirtualBox Windows XP VM. I can't seem to click anything with the mouse, since the mouse just slides around the outside of the window (doing this in windowed mode.)

I've tried turning the sensitivity setting up an down in the .conf, but nothing really seems to make a difference. If I crank it down to really low, like 10, then I can almost control the mouse but it still fights me.

Can't even click on the menu option to start the game! Help?

Umm, why would you be running MoM thru VirtualBox? It's a DOS game so you should use Mac version of DOSBox (Boxer?) to run it natively. No Windows virtualisation reguired.

Mainly because I have other games (GOG and otherwise) that I'm running in the VM, so I'm putting everything in one place. I'll try moving it over to Boxer and see if I can get it to run. I believe I tried this once and DosBox complained about the installer, but now that I've got it all extracted on the PC I can move the files over.

Still doesn't answer the question about mouse sensitivity though.

I don't have experience with virtualisation software so I can't really give any other advice than to run the game on Mac version of the DOSBox. If you still have same problem it might be DOSBox related and not virtualisation (MoM runs fine on my XP Pro SP3 in both full screen and window).
Original poster probably doesn't care any more, but for anyone who hits upon this from Google, you need to modify the sensitivity setting in dosboxMOM.conf - 10 isn't low enough. 2 gets a good result for me.
