Hi,

when I attack enemy units and cities there is always an autobattle. I only get a message if I was victorious or if I was defeated. There is no manual battle.

How can I enter a manual battle?

I've installed the latest Insecticide patch and I'm playing on easy.

OK, I found out that autobattle was activated in the settings. It was actually obvious. So solved.

To add to your knowledge, here's a protip for you: because automatic combat uses its own algorithms to resolve battles, some confrontations which are impossible to win one way are easy (or at least survivable) in the other mode.

Myself, I prefer to keep it on tactical (manual) combat and take my chances. But if things start taking too long or getting too tough (a certain node remains unconquerable, for instance) at least you have another option.
