Master of Magic is the best fantasy strategy game ever made to this day. Let's talk about features:
Random map generator with several customization options? Check.
Several schools of magic, tons of abilities, and countless ways to customize your leader? Check.
Just about every conceivable fantasy races/faction to play? Check.
Tons of heroes to recruit? Check.
Magical items to arm those heroes and the ability to craft even more? Check.
A solid diplomacy system to make interacting with opposing wizards/empires interesting? Check.
But you know what really makes Master of Magic extraordinary? It's the game's ability to bring all of these features together into a seamless, intuitive, fun, and highly engaging strategy experience. The game is very easy to pick up and play, and quite challenging to master on the higher difficulty levels. If you're willing to look past the aging graphics and focus purely on the gameplay, I guarantee you won't be able to put this game down.
