The right moment i set foot on this floor, the fps dropped around 20, making the game for me unplayable. Aside from this area, the fps range was between 40-60, something I already ddin't like at first, as despite an old rig (970 gpu + i5 2500 3.00 ghz) it's still doing it's job pretty fine, even more so considering that a game like this should not be so demanding.

As anyone else encountered and issue similar to mine?

PS: I was already looked on the steam forum page and tried the devs workarounds, but none of them worked.

I haven't encountered any lag - but my laptop is a one of the newer Inspiron Gaming models.

Not sure of what you could do to counter the lag besides using the tiniest resolution... would changing UnlockAnimation do anything for you? I noticed that battles were pretty choppy until I switched it to =1.

I haven't really tried that, as the devs stated that some mobs have broken animation with that option, but the problem seems related to that specific floor. the moment I switched to another floor the problem has gone.

I just hope this issue will not happen on any third floor of a new dungeon...
I opened Task Manager and went to City Streets : Floor 3.

Usually, Mary Skelter: Nightmares takes up 25% of my CPU and 300 MB Memory.
Floor 3 took up 35% of my CPU and 350 MB Memory.

Reasons behind this are - of course - it being an affordable port and therefore lacking optimization. Floor 3 is also the first floor where you'll notice blood splatter - whoch takes me to my last reason - due to the intense amount generated after defeating the Core and the Nightmare..

A later dungeon will be much more demanding It's an intense mini-dungeon and, unfortunately, it will probably lag on you.

I've been using the Animation switch and the game runs smoother now. Prior to activating it, enemy animations appeared to be very choppy - as if the game was hardlocked into a lower FPS. With the switch on, the animations are fluid and wonderful.

Finally, play the game without Galaxy on in the background. Galaxy takes up as much CPU and Memory as Mary Skelter on my PC. I dont think yours could tolerate that.

Oh, and check out your performance by opening Task Manager (control +alt +delete) and using its setting Always On Top while playing. Its helpful.
