Is anyone else experiencing small, infrequent hitching Mark of the Ninja: Special Edition? I notice it through level progression. My first instinct is that it's just the level loading, so I've considered reinstalling onto my SSD. But I wanted to hear if anyone else had the same problem and if they dealt with it. Thanks for reading!

I haven't experienced this (installed on a standard HDD). What exactly happens? Does it lag during loading or rather when playing?

During gameplay. I wouldn't even call it lag, it's more like an intermittent freeze that lasts <1 sec. I don't think gameplay gets desync'd, it just seems to pause out of nowhere.

It may be an issue with loading data, but switching to SSD probably won't solve it. This is rather a software problem.
Try different v-sync settings in your graphic cards control panel (which graphic card btw and which OS?)
Do you have multiple graphic chips? If so make sure the game doesn't use an embedded chip, but your stronger, dedicated GPU (you can often force it, by assigning it to the game in the graphic card's control panel).

Check if running the game with admin rights makes a difference (right-click the game's shortcut => Run as administrator).
There were also issues with interfering USB devices. Unplug everything you don't need for testing.
Also keep an eye on programs running in the background, close everything for testing, especially anti-virus software (go offline before, if you feel unsafe).

EDIT 2: Definitely was my second, wireless USB Logitech keyboard I have plugged in (which I use for couch computing). I'm marking this as the answer for anyone else who may stumble upon this thread with the same issue.

Thanks for the recommendation, I never would have thought of something this abstract. I'm happy, though, as I can now enjoy this excellent game :-)

Great, I'm glad it works. It's indeed an excellent game and even motivated me to get all possible in-game achievements.
