I downloaded and tried out the Remaster, having already played the original, and it's been working great so far, except for a few visual effects seeming to be missing.

Specifically, the smelling radius around the dogs doesn't seem to be visible anymore, even on normal mode and the poisonous green fog in the catacombs appears briefly (as a few green wisps) when I first reach those locations, but after a second or so it disappears despite my life still being drained while in those areas.
