By the way, if anyone wants to play WITH the security door code properly working:

open the "maniac.ini" in the installation folder and insert:

For the Enhanced version (it only works with the patch above):

[maniac]
copy_protection=true

For the Original version (it works with GOG's unaltered files):

[maniaco]
copy_protection=true

The other solution is to use Aaron Giles Dreamm emulator. It will not only "uncrack" SCUMM games but also reinsert manual-based copy-protection with on-screen answers! And will reconstruct .exe files for titles that are missing them. Great stuff!

I just found out that the GOG-version comes with ScummVM 2.0.0 where the keycodes are disabled.
But that was fixed in ScummVM 2.5.0. So if you seperately install ScummVM 2.5.0 or higher and play it via that installation and not via the installation that comes with the GOG-installer you have the uncracked version, both original and enhanced.
