Frankly - I always wished that something would combine the mechanics of Majesty & Dungeon Keeper. I loved building a dungeon in Dungeon Keeper, and keeping your minions happy was fun. The combat strategy was TERRIBLE. Just grab all of your minions and drop them near the foe. The guardhouses etc. were basically worthless. Once you finished building, each level was pretty boring.

Majesty was great fun trying to maneuver your heroes around to do what you want, placing inns & guardhouses to keep monsters from rampaging too much & killing the tax collectors. But the building out your troops etc was pretty generic and got old fast.

I really wished that either Majesty 2 or Dungeon Keeper 2 had been an awesome hybrid of the two. Instead, both sequels were both watered down remakes, and both with the crappy polygon 3d graphics of the time.
