I've read in some Steam forums (said by some Mainlining developer) that the Linux support was work in progress... but more than one year has passed. Any news on the topic? Playing it through Wine is practically impossible.

And no, using Windows is not an option, that's a horrible, featureless, slow & sluggish operating system.
