The game is working fine, but the sound volume is simply too loud. I already tried to put

mixer master 50:50

right before
CARPET.EXE

in the dosboxMC.conf, but it didn't work.
I think the line

mixer sb 50

worked, but I couldn't get the music (which is general midi for me) to lower down.

Hope somebody can help!

Is all sound too loud (volume issue) or just some sounds (mixer issue)?

Do you have the same problem in other dosbox games?

I can lower the sound effects, but not the music itself. So "mixer sb 50" worked in my opinion, but I think I cannot get the midi volume down.

Not using any other games in dosbox...
