I had this game a long time ago and I am considering getting it from GOG. However, I had the Magic Carpet Plus edition which is not the one that GOG has is it?
So My question is, how different are they? I know the expansion was included in the "Plus" version, but that means nothing to me as I never played the Hidden Worlds anyway. What about things such as Upgraded spells, bug fixes, etc...? Are they that different? Anything else I might miss that would break it for me?
Thanks!

Besides the Hidden world expansion, Magic Carpet Plus replaced the flamewall spell with the guided meteor for PvP battles, and also came with improved graphics (I'm not sure in what way, though). In other words, Plus is definitely the "definitive" version, but it looks like EA is screwing GOG with this one just as they have with the other games that are missing their expansions.
It's a shame GOG did not get the plus version.
I guess it's EA that did not want to release it.

Check if you've been retro upgraded to the Plus version.
