Added the Game.exe of Mafia in steam but when starting it over Big Picture the steam controller does not work.

Did someone manage to play the game with steam controller?

It doesn't register the controller config you set in the game, but you can use your desktop config for the steam controller and then remap those functions in the game as you like. It works well enough.
