Is there only one ending to this game, where the blacksmith gets the girl? Is there an alternate ending? If so, how do you get it?

Unfortunately there is no way for poor Diermot to get the girl, because there is only one ending.

I was expecting an alternate ending too. I thought you had to bring Goewin to the dragon cave to trigger it and then later when she tells that she loves the player and that he should come to visit her later if he has the same feelings, you would close the deal. But nope :(
