My PS4 controller (i'm using DS4WINDOWS) does not work, when i open the game it scrolls to "quit" and stays there no buttons work aside from the right joystick (if i press down on the joystick it acts as the "x" button, no other direction seems to do that). I also attempted using a nintendo pro controller but the same thing happens except i can scroll up by pressing "A" and up.
Please help me out i really want to play this game with a controller.

I'm also having the same issue. I have tried to troubleshoot this issue in every way possible. Controllers worked a little with an Xbox controller, and then after loading up the game for another session, no controller input was detected. I've tried an Xbox One controller (connected over BT), a dual shock 4, a dual sense, an 8bitdo controller and even an old Logitech F70 (I think?) wireless controller. All controllers have been tried over bluetooth, all have been tried with a USB 8bitdo receiver (which has kind of been my secret weapon in the past because it just makes things work) and I have also tried all of this on Windows 10, Windows 11 (Both VM's) and an M1 Macbook Pro. I'm frustrated because this game looks awesome and I've seen it work with a controller before. If anyone finds a fix or work around for this please reply or link or something. I appreciate any and all future help.

Sorry for the late reply but i actually found a "solution", i mainly use bluetooth for connecting my DS4 on pc because my cable is fucked up and charging the controller is already a problem, but my friend told me to try a cabled connection and it worked just fine (except i cant play the game this way because my cable keeps disconnecting), but that only worked with my ps4 controller, my switch pro controller had the same problem with and without the cable.
