Hello.
I'm experiencing a Startup crash and wanted to give the people a Chance to help me with this.
I'll attach an Image. This error message is all I get whenever I try to start the game.
The game is trying to reach a file in E:\Lost Ember but it is installed in E:\GOGGames\LostEmber
My Machine runs Windows 11.
Is there a fix for this besides reinstalling the entire game to E:\Lost Ember ?
I haven't tried if that would even work in this case yet.
But I would do it as a last resort before trying to get a refund.
I hope someone can help me with this.
Thanks,
Korato
Edit 1:
Putting it in E:\ didn't work either. I found the Discord from the Devs tho. I'll ask on there for an answer and share it here once I get one.
Edit 2:
A developer found a Working Workaround for this. If you have the same Problems as I had try the Following:
Go to
C:\Users[username]\AppData\Local\LostEmber\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
Within it you will find a File called Engine.ini.
Edit it using a Text Editor of your choosing.
Add the following lines at the Bottom of the File (DONT Change anything else within the file)
[SystemSettings]
r.D3D11.UseAllowTearing=0
r.D3D12.UseAllowTearing=0
If this still didn't fix your Problem try running the game in DirectX12 by adding -dx12 to a Shortcut. (Or write it in the Arguments for the game if you use Steam)
