After a system update Lost Eden does not start anymore. The reason for this is an update of the package "flac" probably also of the package lib32-flac to version 1.4 (contains the shared library libFLAC.so.12).

The error message when running the start.sh script is now:

"error while loading shared libraries: libFLAC.so.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory".

When I copy the game (data directory) to my local dosbox 0.74-3, the game can be started, but it is stuttering and runs very slow. :(

@GOG: What can be done...?

The solution to my problem:

Before said system update, I backed up libFLAC.so.8 (/usr/lib/libFLAC.so.8: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object) from my installation on my workstation (Endeavour OS) and copied it to my ArcoLinux installation (on my notebook) to /usr/lib/.

A "ldconfig /usr/lib/libFLAC.so.8" did the rest for me.

After that the game Lost Eden can be started again via dosbox64 with the included start.sh script.
