I was wondering if anyone has copied the music files from the game to listen outside of it. I've been wanting to do this for a while but am not comfortable with the idea without some assurance that it won't mess up the game files.

Offhand, I'm not sure what format the music is in (on the work machine at the moment), so it might not be as easy to access the music as you are hoping.
However, I can assure you that, if all you're doing is copying the music files (assuming they're in a usable format), then you couldn't harm your installed game. You would have to change, rename, or remove files completely for that to happen.

I just tried it in itunes and they worked. I didn't realize that the scroll music was in the same file as all the other sounds in the game.
