I bought this game (finally) and I would like to ask a few questions regarding ng++:

What specifically happens when you beat the final boss on NG++? I'm asking this because people say that you need to use a new slot if you want to play from the beginning. But does this means that you CANNOT play through that save again or that you can still explore and refight the last boss as much as you want?

Are there missables, especially bosses weapons? Since the surge was made by the same devs, in that game you have 2.0 version of bosses weapons, which can be gotten through special means during the boss fight. Since NG+ is limited I'd like to know if there is something similar here aswell.
