Ok, I'm lost. I'm on the first floor of the hotel. One hallway is blatantly meant to be the one to take if you just want to shoot your way through the one monster, while the other involves a lot of sneaking. I have no problem sneaking through most of that last area of that corridor until I get to the last monster; none of my attempts to lead the monster away do anything to get him out of the way, and often they call attention to an earlier monster. Is there something I am missing?

I just went through and did it, so I'll see if I can be of help.

Firstly you go into the first room (Freezer) drop some rotting meat and sneak behind the hanging meats as the monster enters and heads for the rotting meat, then exit back to the hall. (I'm sure you already knew, just including it for thoroughness sake and for anyone who may have a similar problem in the future and may not know to do that.)

Next, drop a meat in front of the freezer door and hide until the next monster passes, then move down the hall until you find the second hiding spot.

At the second hiding spot, you backtrack a little bit and drop some more meat, then hide. Once the monster is eating the meat, go next to the hiding spot and drop another meat to lure out the last monster. Hide in the same spot until the monster passes, then you can get to the exits.

Hope that helps, and if you have any trouble understanding my above text, I have attached a picture guide I threw together to help further explain the course of action.
