kohlrak: I knew this was going to be on the forums. So, let me get this straight. They specified minimum requirements for the game, the people in this thread do not meet the minimum requirements, at least in terms of CPU, but they're blaming the company for their failure to meet the minimum requirements? Normally, i'd deal with this another way, but the chief complaint is a big sign of the company (or whomever makes unreal 4, since that seems to be the engine) doing something incredibly ethical that has been rare in this industry since the 80s: optimization. These guys set minimum requirements so they could optimize the game to use technology that would help it run faster so that background processes would not only interfere less, but the game would interfere less with them. Now, since I don't have the game, i'd I can't tell you exactly what the instruction is, but if you grab a hex editor, go to the offset in question (once you find the base address) it should get more interesting from there.
Use this to find the instruction in question. Oh get off the high horse, they just need to recompile without SSE 4.2 enabled. It's an un-needed optimization. Users aren't going to bust out the hex editors and can't be expected too. It's a situation that's happened a couple of times this year and every time so far the developers have patched out SSE 4.2
