Use the fix provided on Steam. It's not optimal but you can at least play the game you bought, like i am right now.

The problem its not that phenom users dont meet the requirements, but the developers did not know for unsupported instruction. I believe they will address this shortly.

kohlrak: I knew this was going to be on the forums. So, let me get this straight. They specified minimum requirements for the game, the people in this thread do not meet the minimum requirements, at least in terms of CPU, but they're blaming the company for their failure to meet the minimum requirements? Normally, i'd deal with this another way, but the chief complaint is a big sign of the company (or whomever makes unreal 4, since that seems to be the engine) doing something incredibly ethical that has been rare in this industry since the 80s: optimization. These guys set minimum requirements so they could optimize the game to use technology that would help it run faster so that background processes would not only interfere less, but the game would interfere less with them. Now, since I don't have the game, i'd I can't tell you exactly what the instruction is, but if you grab a hex editor, go to the offset in question (once you find the base address) it should get more interesting from there. Use this to find the instruction in question.
Oh get off the high horse, they just need to recompile without SSE 4.2 enabled. It's an un-needed optimization. Users aren't going to bust out the hex editors and can't be expected too. It's a situation that's happened a couple of times this year and every time so far the developers have patched out SSE 4.2
I too experience the Fatal error related to ATLAS UE4

I have a AMD Phenom II X4 965. A relative powerfull processor.

A good midrange cpu according to cpubenchmark tables from
2009.

So i think thank it a case of 'extreme' requiements that alienated without good reason many players.
Its absurd for a game to not play at all due to that.

The sda --attach-pid didnt work at all to me . Tooo slo and constantly unresponsive. (Tryed all variations ,win7 mode etc etc)

Also i too didnt found an email to report the issue to the tarsier .

The company should make a clear statement when the patch will come or
else to try refund.

I would . What exactly needs to be changed,? Thank you!
According to GoG Support the developer will not be providing a fix for this, clearly they think it's cheaper to ignore those with the problem rather than spend any time or money fixing it. Therfore I will be getting my money back.
Not the smartest move, if you ask me...
