Just a heads up, there is currently an issue with the sound in the Steam version, so I expect its the same for the GOG one.
If you are experiencing popping sound, stuttering sound, or a complete lack of sound after the opening movie and have a 2.1 or 5.1 speaker setup, here's a possible fix:
1. Go into Window's Sound options (access from the Control Panel, etc.).
2a. Set your speakers to Stereo using the Configure option, or
2b. Click on the Properties button, go to the Enhancements tab and toggle off Speaker Fill and Channel Phantoming (if present).
The sound currently works best on a 2 speaker (Stereo) setup.
The developers are aware of this issue but have yet to find a fix as far as I know.
