Hi there!
I have a strange issue with these games.
As you may know, DOSBox includes several options for linedoubling or upscaling the game's original resolution.
In many games, such as the Alone in the Dark series, it's quite easy to have a good linedoubler. Just select the option for "Normal3x", so that the resolution "almost" fills the screen, but it is absolutely sharp. Big, square pixels. Well, not sqare, you know, that's VGA Mode 13h, so you need to also select the aspect ratio correction option.
However, this doesn't seem to work for the LBA series. If I select "Normal3x" I have the exact same size as in "Normal2x". It is far from being the case with the Alone in the Dark series (with those games, "Normal2x" is of course way smaller than "Normal3x"). The interesting thing is that the intro video sequences that appear in LBA1 are sized like in any "Normal3x" game, but then it comes back to "Normal2x" when it resumes gameplay.
Can anybody explain if I'm doing something wrong? Could anybody try if this is your case too?
Thanks a lot!
