It's been a long time since I played LBA. I recently bought the GOG version but found it too hard (rubbish save system and death by running into walls? no thank you). So I booted up ePSXe and ran my Playstation disc though this emulator (PS version has a self save system and quick save and you don't loose health when running into things).

I'm on Principle Island. For some reason when I speak the fisherman at Port Belooga I can't choose to go anywhere. I remember I need syrup to use in the water tower but I don't have any, I'm told there's some back on Citadel Island but if I can't choose to go there or get another ferry ticked WTF do I do now?

you buy a ticket from the port office. easy way to get there is to get arrested, it's up the hill just outside the jail.
I didn't think it possible to get back there! I tried earlier and couldn't without dying all the time (worse thing is getting stuck in a hit loop and no chance to fight back). Didn't realise you get arrested to be back at the port again, thanks wpegg you saved a lot of hair pulling madness!
Loosing health by running into things pi**ed me off quick >_<
With practice you will be master avoiding wall hit.
Anyway, LbaWin (port for Windows by Sébastien Viannay) has an option to disable wall hit. The save system continues the same.
