Hello everyone.
Can't start a new game in LBA 1 (2022 version). After typing your name and pressing Enter the game freezes and crashes. Tried to reinstall - no point.

LBA 2 works perfectly fine.

Any ideas why this is happening?

I sen in the 2023-01-30 a message at Gwen (CTO of 2.21), because I've the problem too. After sending the crashdumps and log, Gwen informed me, check the informations with Sebastien Vianney (developer of LBA1 and Lead Developer of LBA2).

I'me waiting the return by PM Discord or in Discord of 2.21, for the problem.

I talk with Gwen (CTO of 2.21), for the problem. In my case, my game version is good, but Gwen will check if the build version is good (The Classic LBA is hand-built), or if the new bug.

Please indicate the TLBA1C.exe build version (right-click in Executable > Properties > Details).

After different tests, this problem is appear with the save game synchronisation in GoG Cloud. If the disable sync, delete the %userprofile%\2point21 directory and restart game, it's possible start a new game and new game+. The yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy save game is not present and the game start normally.

For delete the yyyyyyyyyyy save game responsible of crash of game, is the DB_OVERLAY_....LBA. For delete the save game : enable sync, start game, ALT+TAB combination for return to Windows, delete the file, return to game and quit game. After quit game, GoG Galaxy synchronise the cloud with the new save game directory of TLBAC1.

After the manipulattions, the game run normally and it's possible to create a new game and new game+. DB_OVERLAY is and old file created by GoG Galaxy in old Little Big Adventure game (orignally game, not new version of 2.21).
