Problem: Game runs at something like 5 fps. I move the mouse and the screen responds literally 5 seconds later. Starts from the title screen and doesn't go away. This makes it unplayable, of course.
Here are the particulars:
1. System: Macbook Pro running XP in boot camp: 2.53 GHz, GeForce 9400m 512 MB, lots of free disk space. (But none of this should matter because the game is 10 damn years old. Pretty much anything should be able to run it, right?)
2. Downloaded via GOG downloader, installed without incident.
3. Already tried running the game in various resolutions, running it under various compatibility modes, restarting after install, re-installing, re-downloading and then re-installing, etc.
I hope other people have had this problem and can recommend a fix.
