I've only had a chance to briefly play the game but is it exclusively realtime? I used my free code on it as I like the turn based combat in Fallout et al - but I can't find out how to activate it in this game or even find out if it's in there at all! Manual is no help!
Is it in there? If not, is there a MOD to put it in?

I'm afraid not; there is no turn-based combat in Lionheart. I could see why you might think so with its ties to SPECIAL and BIS publishing it, but it mostly tries to imitate Diablo in combat, and in doing so kind of wastes a lot of the potential of SPECIAL.
The first part of the game (Barcelona) isn't very combat-centric and isn't bad at all, but once you leave that town this game is like a hack 'n slash.
Lionheart has never been very popular and has never had a very active modding community, so no; no turn-based mods either.
