i'm playing this on a netbook and i don't see that that makes a difference but you never know, BUT i rarely hear any game music and if i do, i seem to recall it's the SAME music over and over. i think in reading reviews for this game before buying was the mention of how good the music was. well, i rarely hear it, often playing in complete silence except for a little background noise. is this normal? i downloaded the music from GOG as a separate .zip file and i get a bunch of .mp3's. am i supposed to incorporate these files into the game directory? or are they just for my listening pleasure separate from the game? i see no .mp3 files at all in the game directories, are they all "included" in that big data.dat file?
sorry to be so wordy :-) but...why no background music throughout the entire game and am i suppose to somehow put that separate download of game music into the game?
thanks to anyone for giving me a clue!!
There is supposed to be some background music. However, for about the first half of the game, there's only one or two tracks that get used in most areas, plus a lot of ambient sounds. Things don't change up much until you leave the area around Barcelona and start making progress on the main plot.
thanks again my friend. i misspoke when i said no music "throughout the entire game" as i haven't played it all the way through.
hmm, and i thought in and around barcelona was the majority of the gameplay/plot, etc. like i said, i read a couple of the reviews raving about the musical score and it seems to crank up at odd times for short periods then stop. i seems so disjointed that i thought my netbook was not handling it or something. but you're saying that's normal....weird, but thanks again.
